This is a rewrite of the original SolentMet app, from the Solentmet Support Group.
The app provides easy access to the data from four weather stations in the Solent area (the sea between the Isle of Wight and the UK mainland).
The data display corresponds to that shown on the ‘Chimet’ and associated websites and normally updates every five minutes.
A map displays the current wind direction and strength at the four stations and each can be selected to show all the latest data available from that station.
Further details in the form of 12-hour graphs of wind strength and direction, tide, temperatures and pressure, visibility, and wave height can be displayed (where available).
Minor bug fixes, and updating target and minimum Android versions.
Bug Fixes
Issue #110 - Fixed error where scrolling a station with 'No Current Data' caused scrolling problems on other stations.
Improvements
Issue #92 - Added Help screen, displayed on first install and available from the menu.
Issue #107 - Tidal surge data added to graphs (only Solentmet and Bramblemet at present).
Fixed #92 - 'No Data' when first visiting a station's tab
Fixed #99 - Display air temperature and pressure to 1 decimal place in station header.
Bug Fixes
Issue #98 - Stations with data older than 15 minutes show "?" on the map and "No Current Data" on the weather station page. This avoids misleading readings if a station's data feed fails.
Issue #101 - Removed unnecessary background location permission.
Improvements
Issue #100 Date-time format for station latest reading changed to show the full date, not just the time.
This is a complete rewrite of the original SolentMet application, to make it a native app rather than just a rendering of the web graphs.
It also now runs on modern Android devices.
